Day 8... Self Assessment

We are taking our first quiz on Monday, so today we did a self assessment and brain dump.  The kids really responded well to it!

Day 8... Kahoot!

I finally tried Kahoot and I'm in love!! My kids and I had a blast checking their homework today :-)

Day 6.. Concept maps

Today was one of those days where you just want to jump and scream "Nailed It!"

In AVID, we worked on our first major project and the kids were so engaged and invested that it was magical.

In Stat, we started by playing Kahoot to check our homework, then several mini activities, including a reading assignment and a concept map to process the reading.  All in all, an awesome day!

Day 5.. I love card sorts!

Today was a crazy busy day as we finished up the Jelly Blubbers and worked on a card sort.  I love the discussions the kids have!

Day 4... Jelly Blubber Time!

I do love my Jelly Blubber colony! What a great way to illustrate the sampling methods. :-)

Day 3... #myfavFriday

Today's exit ticket was to share their favorite thing that happened this week.  Several kids mentioned "High Five Friday", but this one was one of my favorites.  :-)

Day 2.. Let's write!

Today was a good day filled with writing activities.  In Stat we did an AP problem, then set up our notebooks.  In AVID, we watched a summer speaker video and did a learning log.  I'm eager to read their papers tomorrow!

Day 1... Ready for kids!

I'm so excited for the new year!  The tables are ready for the kiddos to arrive :-)
